1. THE CLUB Street Rats is the Club. The Club has 6 official Rally`s per year of which 3 must be attended and 2 official Club runs per year which are compulsory, the rallys are to be arranged at the begining of each year and the club runs to be arranged during the year. The Club doesn`t discriminate against any individual, but the Club is aimed at Cruiser, Chop or Trike riding bikers who want to ride, socialise and go to Rallys together.Each member is expected to have a bike over 500cc appropriate to the Club as a main bike. They must also be at least 21 years of age.

2.PROBATION Hang around period is 4 weeks minimum to 6 weeks maximum. After this, they now need a member to sponsor them, then the Club will vote to accept the person on a probation period, this is where they get to wear the Rat Patch. The member who has sponsored them will keep the probation member informed on Rally`s and Club run`s etc. If no one wants to stand as there sponsor or they dont obtain 75% of the full Club vote then they don`t get to probation status. Probation period is 6 months minimum to a maximum of a year, or to be discussed at club discretion, at which time they either get asked to leave, or become a full member. Providing they`ve done 3 Offical Rally`s with at least 3 members present, and depending on obtaining 75% ot the full Club vote. Any member not able to make the meeting for the vote will have the chance to vote via alternative means. As the probation member MUST obtain 75% of the full Club vote to become a member.
IF YOU ARE THE MEMBER WHO HAS SPONSORED THE PERSON THEN IT IS UP TO YOU TO ADVISE THEM OF WHICH RALLY`S OR RUNS IT IS IN THEIR BEST INTEREST TO ATTEND, REMEMBERING THEY NEED 75% OF THE FULL CLUB VOTE TO BECOME A MEMBER!
3. MEMBERS All transactions must be done during the Club meetings. Patches are only to be given to members at Club meetings. Subs are £12 per person per year payable at the General meeting in February. If a person joins during the year there`s a £32 membership fee payable immediately. The Club does not accept any none riding spouses or members. Any none bike riding spouses that are already in the club who in the future separate from their bike riding partner will have a set time i.e a year maximum at the club discretion to get suitable transport or leave the club. All patches are the property of the Club and can only be ordered by a Club official and a record must be kept. Same goes for T Shirts and any other merchandise. When a member leaves the club all patches and membership cards must be handed in. And all merchandise must be defaced, and any ex member found wearing club merchandise will be dealt with severely. We never discuss Club business in front of or to non members. All grievances should be taken to one side and done in private. No member is to be made a fool of in front of non members. It`s ok to laugh with a Club member not laugh at him. This will be dealt with accordingly. No member should raise a hand to another member. If there`s any in Club fighting, the Club will not take sides except in extreme circumstances. Both members will be asked to sort it out or leave the Club. Members are to attend at least 3 official Club Rally`s per year subject to work, health and commitments (BUT THIS MUST NOT BE ABUSED) You are advised to try to attend meetings to keep up to date, if you don`t then don`t moan at the next meeting if you have missed any important issues. Any member breaking any rule will be warned at the next Club meeting, if the member is a persistent rule breaker then the member will be demoted to probation Status as detailed in rule 2, or in extreme circumstances told to leave the Club but this must be under Club discretion or voted on!
THE CLUB HAS NO TIME FOR ARM CHAIR STREET RATS AND NO ONE MEMBER IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB SO DON`T SIT AT HOME MOANING, ASK YOURSELF WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THE CLUB TO MAKE IT BETTER NOT WHAT THE CLUB CAN DO FOR YOU!
4.MEETINGS The Club has two meetings per month. The first and third Thursday of every month. Members must attend 75% of meetings over the year subject to work, health and commitments (AGAIN THIS MUST NOT BE ABUSED). An annual meeting is arranged for the 1st Meeting in February where we vote in New officials, all nominations should be in by the 1st Meeting in January. This vote is to be done by a secret ballot. The Chairman and Vice Chairman positions should always be held by a bike riding member. All decisions being made and acted on only at Club meetings to stop rash decisions being made (apart from flowers or emergencies these have to be agreed by both the Chairman and Vice Chairman). When the Club votes on new issues or decisions in meetings then 51% of the members at the meeting wins the vote(except voting on new members as this needs 75% of the FULL Club vote) in the event of a 50% split vote then the Chairman or Vice Chairman has the deciding vote. Probates are not allowed in meetings for the first 30 minutes, and are not allowed to vote on any issues what so ever.
IF YOU DON`T ATTEND YOUR CLUB MEETINGS THEN DON`T MOAN AT THE NEXT MEETING IF YOU MISSED OR DIDN`T GET TO VOTE ON AN IMPORTANT ISSUE!
5. GUESTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS All guests and family members are the responsibility of the full Club but mainly of the member who has invited them. Guests or family members should be no more than 1 per 3 Club members at official Club rally`s or run`s. Any guest or family member who brings the Club into disrepute will be dealt with severely, the member who is responsible for that guest or family member will be given a formal warning and the guest or family member will not be invited again. The amenities are for the use of members, members have priority over guests or family members at all time, and any guests or family member wanting to use the Clubs amenities or order tickets through the Club then a kind donation would be gratefully accepted by the member who has invited the guest or family member!
ALL GUESTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS SHOULD BE WARNED BEFORE HAND OF THIS RULE AND NO GUEST OR FAMILY MEMBER SHOULD SIGN IN AS A STREET RAT AT ANY RALLY. IF A MEMBER CANNOT KEEP HIS GUEST OR FAMILY MEMBER UNDER CONTROL THEN DON`T BRING THEM! OTHERWISE THEY WILL NOT BE INVITED IN THE FUTURE!
